Embedding Google Doc Links into your site

Many people are taking advantage of the Google Documents feature to save and share documents. This article explains the steps to take to set up document sharing and obtain the URL link to the Google Doc you want to link to your site.

  1. Log into your Gmail account
  2. Click on Documents in the top left corner of the Gmail screen
  3. Open the specific Google Doc you wish to link
  4. In the top right corner, select Share-Publish as Web Page

  5. Click Publish Document

  6. Confirm when warned about making the document public

You will now be presented with both the URL to the document as well as the code to embed the document into your website.
