The Image Bank is where you store all the photographs for use on your site.
You can upload: GIF, JPG, and PNG files to your image bank. You cannot upload: TIF, BMP, PSD or vector formats such as AI, EPS
Important notes about the Image Bank:
Images larger than 800px x 600px will not be available in the gallery, but can be used in for Style Graphics.
The Wizard will create a resized version of images larger that 800 x 600 for use in the gallery, but . . .
When the wizard re-sizes images, it doesn't do so as well as a dedicated photo editing tool might, so it is always our recommendation that you re-size your own images before you upload them. You can re-size images in the following programs:
Alternately, if you don't have or don't wish to learn graphic software, you can use any of several online image tools:
If you choose to let the Wizard re-size the image for you, then the wizard will create a smaller image with the original name of your image, and keep a copy of your larger image and add the suffix of (HUGE) to the end of the image name. That way you have the large and the small version of the image on your server.
So, now that we know how to resize images, we need to figure out how to upload what you've re-sized!
