Want to post your Hostbaby gig calendar on Myspace, Facebook, or some other, non-Hostbaby website or blog? You can using the Hostbaby Calendar RSS feed and widgetbox.com to create an rss widget.

Note: Also works for News page and Blog

I. Obtain Calendar RSS Feed URL:

  1. Browse to your site. If the embedded flash music player is enabled, browse directly to the home.html file (e.g. http://yourdomain.com/home.html )
  2. Browse to the Calendar page
  3. Click the "View calendar feed XML" link at the bottom of the calendar page (with the little orange icon next to it)
  4. Copy the URL from the address bar (e.g. http://yourdomain.com/calendar.xml)

II. Use Widgetbox to create the RSS widget:

  1. Browse to http://www.widgetbox.com
  2. Search for rss and locate the "RSS Widget" (e.g. http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/rss ).
  3. Paste the calendar feed URL (step 4 above) into the Feed URL field
  4. Make any changes you want (font color, font size, max items, width, height, etc.)
  5. Click Get Widget. A pop-up window will appear with the embed code.
  6. Copy that embed code and paste it into whatever blog or web page on which you want your calendar to appear.

Done!
