Contact Page

The Contact Page allows you to either simply post contact info or create a booking or contact form.

The Contact Page is easy as pie, though don't ask me why pie is easy, because often-times I find pie difficult. (to resist!)

The Contact Page allows you to post contact info OR add a contact form.

Here is how to add contact info:

click that "ADD CONTACT INFO" link

Enter in as much info as you feel comfortable with.

Click the SAVE link.

Warning: Do *not* put your physical address or phone number on the web unless these are specifically separate from your personal life (i.e. a PO BOX or a secondary phone for business.) There's no reason that your fans need to know where you live. If you want to be able to receive physical mail, I recommend a PO Box as a safety measure.

So, once you've entered in your info, click the green ADD button.

  • You can now add additional contacts by clicking the ADD CONTACT INFO button again to add a second set of contact information (i.e. your booking agent, perhaps?)
  • You can edit or delete an existing entry by clicking on its title.

This is the order in which the contact information will be presented on your site: (although the style/font colors/etc will vary according to the theme you choose.)

It's that easy! Now just follow the below steps. The new user area looks a bit different so refer to the second picture for a visual.

Using the Contact Form Builder

Below is the contact form builder for CURRENT USERS.

NEW USERS scroll down.

  • Make sure to add your email address in the upper left.
  • Create your form instructions in the box below the email address field. This can be as simple as "Fill out your info below" or something more specific like "Use this form to contact me and I'll send you an exclusive free track"
  • Use the options under form elements to ask your visitors specific questions and give them options for their response.
  • Once added, you can drag and drop the form elements in the order you want. For obvious reasons, the name and email fields are required.

  • Recipient Email Address - Put in your Email address here! This represents the address that completed forms get sent to.
  • Form Instructions - This will appear at the top of your form. So enter in instructions like "Hey, thanks for signing up! Fill this out, and click submit" or something to that effect.
  • Add Textbox - This will make a 1 line field available for people to enter in an answer of some kind. An example would be Name, Email, City, etc--anything that would hold 1 line of text.
  • Add Comments -For those longer responses like "comments", this option will make a small box for guests to leave longer comments for you.
  • Add Dropdown Reponse - This creates a dropdown option people can choose from. For example, you can make a dropdown response for "favorite food" with "pizza, hotdogs, candy" as responses they can chose from. Keep in mind, they can only select ONE option here.
  • Add Multiple Choice Response - This option is similar to the dropdown response, in that multiple answer are available. However, this entry will have check-boxes instead of a dropdown menu. Guests can also select multiple or all the answers they can choose from.
  • Add Single Option Response - Much like the previous option, but users can only select one answer here.

When you have finished your form, click "Save" and then publish your site. Voila!
